This notice explains how Gabs Ultra (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through www.gabsultra.com. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

When you become a Founding Runner we ask for your first name, last name, email address and country and, optionally, your city, running club, mobile/WhatsApp number, the distance that interests you and how you heard about us. Our newsletter, travel and training lists ask only for your email and, optionally, your name and country. Partner enquiries include your organisation and contact details.

Why we collect it

• To send you Gabs Ultra announcements, registration information and event news.
• To understand where interested runners are based and which distances appeal to them.
• To show aggregate, anonymous community statistics (such as the number of countries represented).
• To measure how the website is used, via analytics tools where enabled.

Distance preferences are used for audience research only and do not confirm official race categories.

Your consent

We only contact you because you ticked the consent box when you joined. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by using the link in any email or by contacting us.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. Your details are stored securely with our hosting and messaging providers who process it only on our instructions.

Retention and your rights

We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time in line with applicable data protection law, including Botswana's Data Protection Act.
